Kai Kawafuchi graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. In his junior year, he served as a research assistant to Pete Simi, Professor of Sociology at Chapman University. He is a member of the Alpha Mu Gamma chapter of Phi Alpha Theta and made the Dean's List throughout his time at Chapman. Kai hopes to continue researching violent extremism in a graduate program or with a dedicated research group.
