New York: Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Yosef Tekoah is shown at his arrival at Kennedy Airport here, 9/7, from Tel Aviv. Tekoah came to inform U.N. Middle East Peace Envoy Gunnar V. Jarring that Israel was temporarily withdrawing from the Middle East Peace Talks because of alleged cease-fire violations by Egypt. An Israeli spokesman said Tekoah would meet with Jarring early 9/8.
