Abstract
This is Lauren Fillet's submission for the 2024 Eric M. Scandrett Graduate Research Prize, which won first place. It contains their essay on using library resources, their bibliography, and a summary of their research project on how evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques can be modified or supplemented in order to ensure that the benefits of these approaches are maximally accessible to those who struggle with communication.
Lauren is a student in the Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders program at Chapman University. Their faculty mentor is Dr. Leah Beekman.
