Description

Cleanup crews skim remnants of a 200,000 gallon vandal-caused oil spill in the estuary here 1/21. The mass of goo, released from five storage tanks by vandals late 1/18, has been hearded into a stretch of backwater by more than 200 military and civilian workers. According to the Coast Guard, most of the floating oil has been removed from the busy ship channel and crews are starting to clean under marinas and piers.
