Chicago: Thousands of Black Muslims mourned their late leader, Elijah Muhammad in the International Amphitheatre 2/26. A portrait of the late leader is displayed. The Muslims gathered for their annual 'Savior's Day' observance rites [which were] turned into a memorial by Elijah's death 2/25. The sect's leadership was taken over by Wallace Muhammad, 40, a son of the late self-styled 'Messenger of Allah.'
