Chicago: James Meredith, the first Negro to enter the University of Miss., told a news conference here 12/24 that he is determined to remain at Ole Miss despite the shooting of his father's home at Kosciusko, Miss. Meredith had planned to spend Christmas in Chicago but a shotgun blast at his father's home forced him to cancel his plans and return to Mississippi.
