Description
New York: Some 700 welfare mothers march across the Brooklyn Bridge en route to the Board of Education after staging a rally in City Hall Park Sept. 17th to demand a clothing allowance for their school age children. A spokeman for the group said many mothers are keeping their youngsters from school because they do not want to send them out in scanty clothing which would endanger their health.
