Abstract
Marshall v. Marshall, the case on the legal inheritance of Anna Nicole Smith, is likened to Charles Dickens' 'Bleak House.' Smith's case, like the plot in the book, dragged on so long that original parties are already dead, and legal costs consumed what is left of the estate. The delay of justice in Smith's case is seen as a massive injustice and a shame to the U.S. justice system.
