Scene with William Russell and Marie Eline from the Thanhouser silent drama, “In the Time of Peril,” 1912. Russell holds an unconscious Marie Eline [dressed as a boy] while clinging to a railroad bridge. [See N-158-04.] The Thanhouser drama used an actual railroad wreck at Westport, Connecticut in some of the scenes.
