Abstract

Life is born of love, and women love from the heart. In the 21st century, amidst the information revolution, the rise of diverse industries, the redefinition of marriage and family, and the prevalence of either being a social queen or an emotional recluse, we, as women, often face this challenge: how do we perceive ourselves and love? As a multimedia female artist with a rich artistic background and diverse experiences, Daisy is a 120-minute multimedia experimental theater piece that I have written, directed, designed, and performed. It focuses on the conflicts and awakenings experienced by contemporary women in their pursuit of self-worth and emotional growth. Through multimedia art forms, such as video media, photography, visual arts & fashion design, installation art, AI special effects , sound & music design and immersive humanistic performances, it explores the self-worth, personal growth, diverse forms of love & sex, family, friendship with community concepts of modern young women. The two female characters in the play symbolize the duality within Daisy—a modern woman’s personality: yellow represents vitality, romance, and a passionate exploration of life, while white represents self-awareness, authenticity and purity.
