Abstract

The thirteen monochromatic paintings in Michael Dopp’s first solo exhibition, “Dilate,” form an intelligent and poetic meditation on archetypal dialogues of abstraction, with a self-conscious playfulness that inserts elements of language and corporeality within retinal formalism.
