Claremont, Calif: Mrs. Medgar Evers, who moved to California a year after the 1963 slaying of her husband in Jackson, Miss. gets some unexpected help on her speech from her dog 'Honey Bun' shortly after she announced 3/16 that she will seek the Democratic nomination for Congress in California's 24th District. The seat in the heavily-Republican district was vacated last month by the death of Rep. Glenard Lipscomb, a Republican.
