Abstract
The 2016 election season has many voters asking whether or not history has had an election with disappointing politcal canidates? Slyaton compares the 1896, 1912, 1928, and 1948 elections to the current political race. He compares Trump's positions to the McCarthyism era and warns voters that this election season may lead to a dark period of political history.
