Description
Saigon: A force of U.S. helicopter carriers was sighted 4/6 just off the lower South Vietnamese coast where they could be used to evacuate Americans from Saigon. In ground action 4/6 communist commandos slipped into the provincial capital of My Tho, 75 miles southwest of Saigon. The South Vietnamese returned to Nha Trang, 188 miles northeast of Saigon, in the first major move by the government to recapture territory lost to the communists in a three-week blitzkrieg.
