Garland, Tex: John Paul Klemm, 6, holds the letter he has written to the President of North Vietnam requesting that his father, Lt. Col. Donald Klemm, be able to spend John's birthday, Feb. 19, with him. Col. Klemm's family have not heard from him since he was shot down over North Vietnam in 1967.
