Description
A new device to aid control of oil spills was uncovered to oil company executives at Port Everglades, Fla. The new device, named "Medusa" skims oil from the surface at the rate of 1,100 gallons per minute for this test size model, separating and collecting the oil. The Reynolds Submarine Service Corp. machine can be transported by helicopter to the scene of spills and the largest of three models can handle 10,000 gallons per minute in the high seas.
