Description

Dr. Henry Kissinger, who has been conducting the negotiations for President Nixon, tells newsman at the White House that an agreement would be signed "within a matter of weeks or less" ending the war in Vietnam and bringing home U.S. troops and prisoners of war. Kissinger said the agreement called for a cease fire in place to be followed within 60 days by the withdrawal of U.S. troops and the simultaneous release of all American prisoners. At left is Press Secretary Ron Ziegler.
