Springfield, Mass. -- Black militant students carrying clubs, stand in front of Massasoit Hall at Springfield College 3/11 where some 50 Black students remain locked inside despite being served with contempt citations for violating a court order in not leaving the building. The students demand greater black enrollment, a black admissions officer, more scholarship aid to Blacks and a black cultural center.
