Bell & Howell sound on film recording camera, mounted on an Akeley gyro tripod, ca. 1930. “Ruby Camera Exchange – 729 Seventh Avenue – N.Y.C. – U.S.A.” in lower corner. On verso: This unit is portable and works from its own source of current. Unit consists of a Bell and Howell camera with special check pawl shuttle, and the sound is built in. this sound unit is made up by the same mechanics and shops who build all MOVIETONE equipment. It is as good as the very best. Photo shows complete unite with Akeley gyro tripod. Prices on request.”
