Abstract
This article focuses on the railroad dreams that have haunted Arizona since 1853. Recently, the Arizona Department of Transportation is studying three potential routes, all of which would parallel Interstate 10 south of Eloy, with the main argument being whether to ignore the East Valley or not. The future political troubles are obvious, and the estimated $10 billion price tag is also daunting.
