Description

New York: Steve Kaye, 33, talent agent with a Madison Ave. ad agency, holds up a picture showing him dressed as an Arab on the cover of Newsweek magazine as he sits in his office here 9/13. Kaye, a Jew, had a call for an Arab model. He couldn't find one. So he got out the Kaffiyeh (headdress) he brought back as a souvenir from Israel, rented some robes from a photo agency and found an agreeable gas station owner. And there he is on the cover... features forbidding, arms folded as he stands next to a gas pump, nozzle at the ready, symbolizing Newsweek's cover story 'The Arab Oil Squeeze.'
