Holocaust education at Chapman University has grown from a single course into a distinctive multi-faceted program. While many other universities teach about the Holocaust, Chapman is distinguished among both private and public universities by its fusion of curricular, co-curricular and community programs which include:

  • A minor in Holocaust history for Chapman University students
  • Distinguished lecture series
  • Annual art and writing contest for middle and high school students
  • Community-wide evening of Holocaust remembrance
  • Partnerships with Holocaust survivor organizations, including The 1939 Society
  • Co-sponsorship with the Wallace All Faiths Chapel Kristallnacht commemorative event
