Abstract
The 2016 election season shows that Republican voters are rejecting the establishment of the GOP, most notably the topic of tax reform. Many Republican voters have been supporting Donald Trump because of his ability to say what he thinks without political correctness. Before the 2016 election, Grover Norquist established the GOP stance about tax reform, which is usually the topic that resonates with GOP votes. This election season voters have been ignoring the GOP's platform in favor of supporting a populist canidate.
